Our Story
Arise and Shine Care Center is a Non-Profit Community-Based organization based in Ombeyi Ward, Muhoroni Sub County, Kisumu County, Nyanza region in Kenya , The organization was registered under Directorate of Social Development on 02/11/2010, with its Reg. No DSD/42/242/02/5184
The establishment of the organization was started after series of research studies about the needs of women and youths were conducted by Doreen Anyiri and her two friends. The study revealed that, there is a serious lack of information among women and youths which puts them to the state of voiceless and hopeless in the community, hence the creation of the organization to provide them with vital information that can make them have voice and restore the lost hope in their lives, by pulling them together and engage them in various activities which will enable them to ARISE from the state of hopelessness, be informed and SHINE in the community ,hence the name ARISE AND SHINE
